Santa Maria police officers are attempting to make contact with a suspect who is barricading him/herself inside an apartment.
According to a tweet, police tried to stop two people wanted for outstanding felony warrants.
Authorities say the individuals led officers in a short vehicle pursuit before running into an apartment in the 200 block of E. Inger.
In the social media post, police say one of the individuals has complied with commands and surrendered, however the other is not complying.

Police are asking people to avoid that area for the time being.
