The Village Library in Vandenberg Village will be closed this week while some upgrades take place.
The City of Lompoc says carpet installation is taking place at the library from Feb. 10 through 14.
The carpet is about 18-years-old and City officials say it's damaged and has become a tripping hazard.
The materials are being paid for by Santa Barbara County's community services and general services departments.
The book drop outside the library can still be used for returns during the five-day closure.
