Santa Barbara County Sheriff's deputies arrested a man who was wanted on two outstanding warrants after a foot pursuit Friday in Solvang.

Sheriff's officials say deputies stopped a vehicle in the area of Willow Drive and First Street in Solvang and the driver immediately got out of the car and ran off, jumping the fences of nearby homes.

The man reportedly dropped his wallet and deputies were able to identify him as Michael Ibison, 33, of Los Alamos.

Ibison was reportedly wanted for failure to appear for possession of drug paraphernalia and for violation of probation for possession of ammunition by a prohibited person.

Sheriff's officials say K9 units tracked Ibison to the riverbed where he was taken into custody.

According to the sheriff's office, Ibison was also found to be armed with a large fixed-blade knife, and drug paraphernalia and methamphetamine were located in the vehicle.

Ibison was booked on charges that included attempting to evade a pursuing officer, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and obstructing an officer.
