Warming Center in Grover Beach to open Thursday

The 5 Cities Homeless Coalition will open its winter warming center Thursday.

The opening and closing times have changed.

LifePoint Church on Rockaway Avenue in Grover Beach will open at 5:00 p.m. and close at 7:00 a.m.

If you need a ride to the warming center, you can meet at one of the following locations at the specified times:

5:05 -Ramona Park (on 9th St. & Ramona)

5:15 -Oceano duck pond (corner of Mendel & Norswing (pond side)

5:25 -Fin's Restaurant (parking lot between Fin's and bathrooms)

5:35 -Pismo Outlets (in parking lot between Ralph Lauren store & Five Cities Dr.)

5:50 -Walmart (north side of parking lot, the side towards the old Kmart side)

6 pm drop off to LifePoint Church.

Morning bus:

7:00 am -pick up at LifePoint Church

Adults needing shelter from the storm are invited to use the warming center for overnight sleeping. Sleeping cots and bedding will be provided as available. Guests will also be provided a hot meal. There will be board games, books, or time to simply relax.

The facility cannot accept pets.

Guests are asked to not arrive before 5 p.m. and come no later than 8:00 p.m.
