More than 170 kids will get new bikes this Christmas thanks to the employees at Waste Connections.
On Saturday, workers from San Luis Garbage, Mission Country Disposal, South County Sanitary, Morro Bay Garbage, Cold Canyon Landfill, and Cold Canyon Processing Facility got together with some community members to build 171 bicycles.
The bikes were reportedly purchased with money donated by Waste Connections employees and vendors.
Once complete, the bikes were donated to the Department of Social Services, CASA, Toys for Tots, and the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office.
