The Willow Lights Christmas Celebration kicked off its second year Friday night in Nipomo.

The celebration is dedicated to the late Pastor Salvador Ortiz, the founder of the Power of God Christian Center in Santa Maria.

While the event is a fundraiser for the Power of God Christian Center, there is no set attendance fee, but donations are requested.

The holiday event provided fresh desserts, tacos and desserts from G-Brothers Smokehouse, donuts and hot chocolate to attendees.

"The kids are crying when they are leaving. They are so excited to be here because they get to walk the property, walk the field and they are smelling the animals and getting that feel of Christmas," said Sal Ortiz, the son of Pastor Salvador Ortiz.

The Willow Lights Christmas Celebration is scheduled for 5:30-9:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday night, as well as next weekend.

You can visit the Willow Lights by heading to the corner of Willow Road and Hetrick Avenue in Nipomo.
