You may soon be able to taste your favorite wines again in Santa Barbara County.

The county has put an emergency rule into place which temporarily suspends zoning regulations and permit restrictions that prohibit or limit wineries and wine tasting rooms from serving food.

The ruling is part of Santa Barbara County's Small Business and Community Partnership Enhancement Program that is meant to help businesses expand into outdoor areas to increase social distancing, according to their website.

However, the county said that wine tasting rooms will still need to adhere to the state laws for reopening businesses during COVID-19.
