A Bradley woman sustained fatal injuries after a car crash Saturday evening.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), 78-year-old Leona Frances Young was driving a 2007 Cadillac Escalade westbound on private property on Captain's Walk in Oak Shores when for unknown reasons drifted to the left.

Young's vehicle then went off the road and rolled down a steep embankment.

She was driving about 15 MPH and was not wearing a seat belt, according to authorities.

Officers said she was ejected onto a concrete driveway in the 2600 block of Captain's Walk.

She was pronounced dead on scene, according to CHP.

Officials say there are no indications of alcohol or drug use or distracted driving like cell phone usage.
