A woman was killed in a crash north of Casmalia on August 28.
It happened at approximately 3:50 p.m. along the 5000 block of Black Road, near Highway 1.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 39-year-old Lompoc man was behind the wheel of a Ford F-150 truck before the vehicle veered off the road and into an embankment.
A Santa Maria woman was in the passenger seat and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver was taken to Marian Regional Medical Center.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation by officials.
