SLO Transit is offering free bus rides this week to celebrate Rideshare Week.
Rideshare Week takes place October 7-11.
Morro Bay Transit is also offering free rides on October 10, and residents can request a free RTA "Try Transit" pass by emailing info@rideshare.org.
Rideshare.org is also offering chances to win prizes for those who take a pledge to carpool or ride the bus.
Rideshare Week is meant to encourage commuters to use alternative forms of transportation.
