Washington state reports 2 more coronavirus deaths

Two more residents at a nursing home in northwestern Washington state have died due to the coronavirus (COVID-19).

In a statement, health officials said there are 12 new cases of COVID-19 in King County, bringing the total number of cases reported to the county to 83. The total number of deaths reported to Washington State Department of Health is now 17.

The two deaths being reported Sunday include two residents at Life Care Center in Kirkland, Wash.

Officials said one was a woman in her 80s who was hospitalized at EvergreenHealth and died on March 6.

The other was a man in his 90s who was hospitalized at Harborview Medical Center and who died on March 5.

Of the 17 deaths reported, 16 are associated with Life Care Center.
