HONOLULU — A mother arrested in Hawaii over the disappearance of her two Idaho children wants a judge to reconsider her $5 million bail.

A court hearing is scheduled Wednesday on Kauai, where Lori Vallow was arrested on an Idaho warrant.

Seven-year-old Joshua "JJ" Vallow and 17-year-old Tylee Ryan were reported missing in November, but have not been seen since September.

Vallow has been charged with felony counts of desertion and nonsupport of dependent children in connection with the children's disappearance.

Her lawyers say she isn't a flight risk and had been willing to turn herself in prior to her arrest last week.

Police also claim Vallow and her husband Chad Daybell have lied about the children's whereabouts.

Vallow and Daybell married in October, a month after Tylee and JJ were last seen. The marriage came just two weeks after the death of Daybell's wife, Tammy, who died under what police now consider suspicious circumstances.

Following the marriage, Vallow and Daybell moved from Rexberg, Idaho to Hawaii, where they remained until Vallow's arrest last week.

The marriage also came just months after Vallow's brother, Alex Cox shot and killed her husband, Charles. Cox claimed he shot Charles Vallow in self-defense and was not charged. Cox later died under suspicious circumstances in December.
