Sacramento Police Department homicide detectives arrested 26-year-old Joseph Yi Sunday for the fatal stabbing of a man on June 4.
The victim was found in the area of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and 26th Avenue, said police officers.
Police say detectives say Yi was the sole suspect in the case.

On June 6, 2020, SPD homicide detectives arrested 26-year-old Joseph Yi for the fatal stabbing of a man who was found in the area of Martin Luther King Jr Boulevard and 26th Avenue.

On Thursday shortly before 6 p.m., Sacramento Police Department patrol officers responded to the area regarding a man who had sustained a life-threatening stab wound.
Sacramento Fire Department personnel provided additional medical aid, but the victim died at the scene of the stabbing, said police.
Homicide detectives worked closely with CSI and the community to solve the crimes, officers say.
The incident remains under investigation. The Sacramento County Coroner's Office says it will release the identity of the victim after the next of kin have been notified.
