TRAFFIC ALERT: One-way traffic control on Highway 166 following early morning crash

Update: Caltrans officials tweeted that officials are still on scene of a crash that happpend early Wednesday morning. According to a tweet from Caltrans, a SIG Alert was issued and one-way traffic control is still in place on Highway 166, east of Santa Maria near Tepusquet Road due to a disabled truck,

Commuters going through the areas should expect 10-15 minute delays.

The California Highway Patrol and Caltrans is responding to a crash that happened around 2:30 a.m. on Highway 166 about 11 miles east of the Twitchell Reservoir near Cuyama.

According to the California Highway Patrol, a tanker truck carrying diesel fuel went 100 feet off the roadway into heavy brush just before 2:30 a.m., resulting in minor injuries. As crews work to clear the scene and bring the tanker truck up from the side of the road, Caltrans is conducting one-lane traffic control in the area of the collision, which could result in traffic delays.
