The Lompoc Police Department (LPD) is asking for the public's help to locate a missing man who is considered at-risk.

Police say Donald Byron Bishop, 94, went for a walk at around 1 p.m. on Thursday and did not come home.

In a statement released Saturday evening, patrol officers got tips from citizens saying they might have seen Bishop, however, those sightings turned out to be a different person.

LPD spoke with Bishop's family to try and get more information. Patrol officers canvased the riverbed with an off-road vehicle and walked multiple trails Saturday.

Bishop usually walks around his house on Laurel Ave., as well as River Park and Beattie Park.

Police say Bishop is forgetful and has been known to fall down while on his walks.

He was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, blue jeans, dark brown shoes, and a white shirt with red suspenders.

Anyone with information about Bishop's whereabouts is encouraged to call the Lompoc Police Department at (805) 736-2341.
