ORIGINAL STORY: A shooting involving a San Luis Obispo County sheriff's deputy was under investigation Sunday evening.
The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office says it happened at around 6:30 p.m. when deputies were called to the 700 block of Hill Street for reports of a family disturbance.
The shooting happened when those deputies arrived on the scene, the sheriff's office stated.
Sheriff's detectives secured the scene with the investigation lasting into the overnight hours.
Officials said there is no threat to the public at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
By 7:30 a.m. Monday, no additional information was being released by authorities.
