CAL FIRE crews responded to a water rescue at the Oceano Dunes on Friday afternoon.
It happened at about 2:45 p.m. at Oceano Dunes Post 3.
A person was pulled from the water and crews reportedly performed CPR, but the victim was pronounced dead, the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office confirmed.
No other information regarding the person's identity or the cause of death has yet been released.
