Another family-owned restaurant is keeping its doors open during the pandemic.

Sissy’s Uptown Café in Lompoc has been open since 2002.

The owners say they are getting about half of their business compared to before the pandemic and they want to assure the community that they are taking extra safety precautions, including wearing masks and gloves.

"All it takes is one person to infect 10 people and then those 10 people can infect another 10 and for a little bit of inconvenience, to keep everybody healthy and safe, I think it's worth it,” said manager Steve Byork.

Sissy’s, located at 112 S. I Street, has cut its hours to Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. for lunch and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. for dinner and is offering curbside pickup.

They can be reached by calling (805) 735-4877.
