A man was hit and killed by a car near the intersection of Highways 1 and 135 near Orcutt Saturday evening.
Fire officials said the crash happened shortly after 5pm.
They say the crash also led to a brief lane closure on the highway as units were on scene investigating.
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
