An “unspecified threat” prompted a brief lockdown at an Orcutt school Monday afternoon, according to district officials.

The Santa Maria Joint Union High School District reports students and staff were placed in a temporary lockdown starting at 3:17 p.m. It was reportedly lifted 14 minutes later.

KSBY reached out to Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office for additional information and is waiting to hear back.
