Quiet weather week but the weekend could see the return of more showers

This week's weather will be strongly dictated by the position of the jet stream, which is well to the north. The jet stream is a fast moving river of air that steers areas of low pressure, if that stream is too far away the chances for any meaningful chance of rain is nearly eliminated.

What we'll see over the next few days is night and morning offshore flow pick up, that will drive clear to partly cloudy skies and much warmer weather than what we have been seeing. Tuesday could be the warmest day of the week with inland location into the mid 70s with lower 70s for most coastal valleys. The winds Tuesday and Wednesday evening could be quite strong over the SB Southcoast and advisories are possible.

We'll see a little cooling Wednesday and Thursday as the offshore weakens a little and the daily onshore picks up, but nothing dramatic as a trough passes by to the north. Friday could see a minor temperature bump.

Looks like a trough will be in the region Saturday through Monday. Right now it looks like Sunday and Monday we should see some showers, under .50" This system will also cool down temps into early next week.
