UPDATE (Tuesday, June 30) - The California Highway Patrol reports that a 22-year-old man from Goleta was killed in Monday's crash along Highway 101 just south of Glen Annie Road.
Officers say the man was traveling at a high rate of speed and splitting lanes on his motorcycle just before the crash, which involved two other vehicles.
The rider was ejected from the motorcycle and hit a guardrail along the right shoulder of the highway. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The CHP is asking anyone with further information about this crash to call investigators at (805) 770-4800.

(Monday, June 29) - A crash involving a motorcycle and another vehicle in Goleta resulted in a fatality, the Santa Barbara County Fire Department reported Monday afternoon.
It happened at about 4:20 p.m. on northbound Highway 101, near the Glen Annie Road exit.
The highway was reduced to one lane of traffic as a result of the crash, and first responders are asking motorists to avoid the area while emergency crews are on scene.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
