The southbound lanes of Highway 101 just south of Fairview Ave. in Goleta were closed Monday morning after a large eucalyptus tree fell, blocking all lanes.
Part of the tree was also blocking one of the northbound lanes of traffic.
It happened at about 9:10 a.m.
Traffic was diverted at the Fairview offramp while crews worked to clear the roadway.
The highway was fully reopened by 4:30 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
