The Santa Barbara division of the California Highway Patrol says both lanes have been closed on highway 101 southbound near Sheffield drive after a crash and fuel spill.
Caltrans posted that both lanes are closed at Olive Mill road. It says crews are on sight to clean up the spill.
It says both lanes are closed for an unknown duration and traffic is being diverted at San Ysidro Road.
CHP is asking travelers to find a new route if possible and allow extra time when traveling through the area.
