A man suffered critical injuries in a fall from a cliff in Isla Vista on Saturday night.
It happened at about 10:50 p.m. in the 6500 block of Del Playa.
According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, the man fell from a patio to the beach rocks below.
First responders secured him in a litter basket and carried him up the beach access stairs. He was then transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for treatment.
