UPDATE (4:24 p.m.) - Santa Barbara County Sheriff's officials say officers responded to a report of a person with a deadly weapon inside the Ralphs store on Hollister Avenue in Goleta just before 2:40 p.m. on Monday.
Officers reportedly approached the person and tried to get them to calm down, but the situation ended in a shooting inside the store with the suspect now deceased.
No officers were harmed during the incident.

(3:30 p.m.) - The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office is at the scene of an officer-involved shooting in Goleta.
Sheriff's officials say the incident involved an attack with a deadly weapon, and they are asking the public to avoid the Magnolia Shopping Center on Hollister Avenue.
