The Santa Barbara Police Department issued an important warning on their Instagram page.
They say they have received several reports by residents about getting a text message claiming they have unpaid parking tickets and failing to pay will lead to an arrest.
Santa Barbara police say they will never send you texts about unpaid parking citations and warn not to click on any links in the message.
