The Santa Barbara Police Department hosted its "Drug Take Back Day" on Saturday, Jan. 10.
The event invited community members to safely dispose of unused or expired prescription medications. The department encourages everyone to clean out their medicine cabinets and take part in this effort to reduce access to potentially dangerous medications.
