The Goleta Valley Library is undergoing its first major renovation in more than 50 years. Construction crews have started work on a $6.9 million project to modernize the facility, bringing new ADA-compliant restrooms, upgraded HVAC systems, and improved accessibility.
Funding for the upgrade came from a $4.2 million state grant, as well as city contributions and donations from the Friends of the Goleta Valley Library. The library is expected to reopen in summer 2027.
