A woman and dog were found dead in a home that caught fire in Goleta on Tuesday afternoon.
The fire was reported shortly before 2:15 p.m. at the home on the 5000 block of Amberly Place.
A Santa Barbara County Fire battalion chief says four cats were rescued.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
The woman’s name has not yet been released.
Fire officials were asking people to avoid the area.
