The group Right to Life on the Central Coast held its 2026 Lifewalk through Santa Maria on Sunday, June 28.
Organizers say the theme for the walk was "Vote Pro-Life." They say they want to encourage voters to support candidates who are anti-abortion.
"Not to end a life because of circumstances outside the womb. We believe that everybody has circumstances that are really profound, and so we're out here to say, 'Hey, we'll come alongside you, we'll help you, just let the baby live,'" said Jon Lindgren, event coordinator.
The group also advocates that taxpayer money should not be used to fund Planned Parenthood.
The walk began at City Hall, then people marched half a mile to gather across the street from the Planned Parenthood on East Chapel Street.
