Dozens of local veterans were honored during a celebration on Sunday in Santa Maria.
The event was held by Veterans Last Patrol, a local nonprofit, at the Merrill Gardens. The organization helps connect veterans and volunteers, keeping them engaged with the community while in hospice.
Among the veterans honored was also a World War 2 navy veteran.
