SANTA MARIA — A child was hit and killed at the intersection of Broadway and Fesler Street, according to the Santa Maria Police Department.
Police told KSBY the crash happened at 2:48 p.m. on Friday.
They said the child was hit while being pushed in a stroller.
According to police, the driver stopped and is cooperating with the investigation.
Police said they do not believe the driver was under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the crash.
