A multi-vehicle crash was causing a major backup on northbound Highway 101 through Santa Maria Wednesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, it happened at around 6:10 a.m. on the Santa Maria River Bridge.
Initial reports into CHP showed four vehicles involved and the #1 lane blocked.
By 7:15 a.m., traffic was backed up south of Donovan Road.
Minor injuries were reported, according to CHP.
