Crews responded to a Santa Maria residence early Tuesday morning after receiving reports of a structure fire.
Several engines, police and first responders reported to the 1600 block of South Broadway around 5:30 a.m. According to officials, crews found a small fire in the kitchen and prevented flames from extending throughout the rest of the home.
No injuries were reported, and fire officials will begin investigating the cause.
