Families in Santa Maria celebrated children and culture on Saturday. The Santa Maria High School Robotics Club hosted a free Día del Niño event.
Organizers say the celebration focused on promoting literacy and education. Organizers gave out books and school supplies to families in need, while kids enjoyed food and games at the high school.
The tradition aims to strengthen the community through family and fun.
