Hundreds of students were recognized with scholarships during the annual North County Scholarship Awards Ceremony on Thursday. The Scholarship Foundation of Santa Barbara held the event at the Santa Maria Fairpark Convention Center.
According to their website, the foundation awarded $8.4M in scholarship funding to 2,288 students across Santa Barbara County this year.
Officials with the foundation say the money will benefit students going to college for the 2026-2027 school year.
