The cities of Santa Maria and Lompoc are set to host forums to explain some new changes coming to Medi-Cal health coverage.
The first forum will be at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, August 19 in the Camino Junior High School cafeteria in Santa Maria.
The other will be at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday August 26 in the El Camino School auditorium in Lompoc
The forums will explain the changes to Medi-Cal and will walk participants through how to protect their coverage. In particular, the forums will explain the proposed changes to Medi-Cal regarding people who's immigration status is deemed "unsatisfactory" as this change has caused significant confusion.
