Non-violent political protest group "Indivisible" held a protest and vigil to express anger about the rampant ICE activity in the central coast.
The protest was on Saturday, August 8 from 11am to 1pm.
The group gathered at the South/West corner of Broadway and McCoy lane, half a mile from an ICE office where immigrants are processed after being taken by immigration enforcers.
The event was in memory of the Glass House Farms Immigration raids that happened on July 10, 2025. ICE agents and national guard troops conducted large scale raids at facilities in Camarillo and Carpinteria. They targeted alleged undocumented workers. One person died and 361 people were arrested.
The group wore all black in solidarity and remembrance of people who have been killed or taken in ICE raids.
