A parking structure in Santa Maria is partially shut down for emergency repairs that are expected to last four to six weeks.

The two-level structure at Cook and McClelland streets serves visitors at the Santa Maria Public Library and Town Center Mall.

City officials say a roughly $3 million project is underway on the second floor following in-depth structural testing.

The ground floor of the structure is still available for parking, as is another structure nearby on Main Street.
