Special Olympics Southern California hosted a free sports expo and registration event on Saturday.
Community members headed to the Minami Community Center in Santa Maria for on-site help signing up for year-round sports programs. The expo also included a showcase for young athletes ages 2 to 7.
The organization offers competitive sports for people with intellectual disabilities betwen the ages of 2 and 99.
