Organizers have canceled the 34th annual Solvang Tree Burn because of poor field conditions from the recent rain.
The event was supposed to take place this Friday.
Officials say the location poses safety risks to people attending, staff and emergency crews and the event's multi‑agency logistics required an early decision.
You can still drop off your Christmas trees at the Old Mission Santa Ines with no decorations at the tree burn site through Friday.
The trees will be hauled away for chipping.
