and last updated

Quiet weather precedes our next rain opportunity. Wednesday we'll see more morning offshore winds before they turn quickly back onshore by noon meaning most highs Wednesday will stay in the 60s. Wednesday afternono looks more breezy out of the NW than Tuesday was. Travelers should note that the Central Valley will be dealing with Tule Fog which limits visibility in the night and morning hours partially clearing in the afternoon.

Southerly winds are forecast Thursday morning as a low-pressure system moves southward along the California Coastline. A cold front will produce mostly cloudy skies and rain showers on Thursday morning quickly clearing in the afternoon. Models continue to suggest relatively light amounts of 0.05 and 0.25 of an inch.

The cold front will be followed by strong northwesterly winds 15-25 Thursday afternoon and night.

More offshore night and morning winds develop on Friday. However, areas of dense ground fog may develop in the wind-sheltered valleys.

A dry cold-front will move through the Central Coast on Saturday and will produce breezy northwesterly winds, partly cloudy skies and cool temperatures.

More night and morning offshore are forecast on Sunday into Monday.

Models continue to suggest that a larger and stronger system could arrive around the 17th with more ample rain and wind.
