Paso Robles High School football program ended the 2016 season 8-3 overall and finished 3-1 in the PAC-5. They ended the year with a loss to La Mirada in the first round of the CIF’s, but going to the playoffs has been set as a standard for the Bearcats.
The program has been the playoffs for the past five years, including a trip to the state bowl game in 2014.
Paso Robles is also stepping into a new era of Bearcat football under new head coach, Larry Grant. Grant will bring plenty of energy to the sidelines this season.
"The thing about it is, we always have good energy because they feed off of me first and foremost," Grant said. "That’s one thing about me that these guys know and the city of Paso is going to realize. I keep it 100 percent all the time. We are always going to keep our energy and getting things going right now. From day one until now, I’ve seen so many improvements from so many different guys that it gets me excited about coaching this team every day."
The Bearcats open up the 2017 season with Lemoore this Friday night in Paso Robles.
