Atascadero senior Nathan Meredith signed his Letter of Intent to play Division 1 college baseball at San Jose State University on Monday afternoon.

Nathan, a catcher, is a twin brother to his batterymate and Greyhounds standout pitcher Nolan Meredith. Nolan will also be playing Division 1 ball as he’s signed with UC Davis.

Nathan says he’s excited for his opportunity to travel a different path than his brother and play for the Spartans.

"The coach connection was really good," Nathan said. "Me and Coach LaTorre met a couple of years ago and hit it off really quick. I really like the way he teaches catching. The whole program was really amazing. The campus when I went to check it out, I loved it."

Nathan and Nolan have helped lead Atascadero to a 6-3 PAC 8 League record so far, 10-6 overall.
