Karlos and José Balderas take home wins on the Mikey Garcia-Robert Easter Jr. undercard Saturday night at the Staples Center.
The Santa Maria natives, and brothers, remain undefeated in their professional boxing careers.
Karlos, 21, defeated 35-year-old veteran Giovanni Caro of Mexico by way of total knockout in the fourth round of his six-round lightweight division bout. Karlos’ record improves to 6-0 with five of his victories coming via knockout.
José, 23, went to the wire in his four-round bantamweight division fight with Mexico’s Alfredo Chanez, winning by unanimous decision. All three judges scored the fight, 40-35 in favor of José. He improves his record to 4-0.
