Mike Miller makes another bid for Red Sox Roster spot

Former Cal Poly infielder Mike Miller is making another strong case for a spot on the roster of the Boston Red Sox.

Miller played one game for the Red Sox in 2016, is hitting .400 in the month of July for the Pawtucket Red Sox in the Triple-A International League and has a 14-game hitting streak.

Miller has gone 28-for-67 (.418) in his last 20 games from June 29 through Monday, lifting his average 62 points to .264. He played in six games for Boston during Spring Training in 2018 and went 3-for-6 at the plate with a double and two runs scored.
