The San Marcos High School football team is gearing up for the start of the 2018 season.
It was a tough year for the Royals in 2017 as they finished 1-9 overall, and were winless in the always tough Channel League.
For San Marcos, the only way to go is up. Head coach Jason Fowle says his team has to take it slow and attack the season week-by-week.
"Yeah, we definitely have to take it one game at a time," Fowle said. "I mean, it’s a cliché but it’s true. We just want to win one game, that’s our goal every week. Like I said, we’re focused on Santa Paula and coming out and playing our best game of the season."
San Marcos will travel to Santa Paula on Friday, August 17 to start the season, Kickoff is set for 7 P.M.
