Lompoc and Santa Maria High School took home Northern Santa Barbara County Athletic Round Table Athletes of the Week honors, while Righetti snagged both honors the week prior.
Over Labor Day weekend, volleyball player Jessica Powell of Righetti led the Warriors with 11 kills during its win over St. Joseph. She is currently second in kills on the season and leads with aces. Righetti’s Adan Solis was recognized for his performance in football. The senior running back rushed for 164 yards and scored three touchdowns on 22 carries against Pioneer Valley.
This week’s Athletes of the Week includes Lompoc’s Bella Robles. She was named to the All-Tournament team at the Pink Stampede Tournament. "We play good," Robles said. "I mean like we got a down a lot, we have to pick ourselves back up and once we do, we’re a really good team."
Quarterback Dominick Martinez of Santa Maria passed for 42 yards and rushed for 214 while racking up four touchdowns en route to a 42-20 victory over Golden Valley.
"We work hard. I felt like very prepared coming off an injury. Me and Sebastian really work well and our coach has prepared us well," Martinez said.
