KSBY’s Friday Night Highlights Week 4 ‘Game of the Week’ features a rivalry as Arroyo Grande hosts Nipomo.
The home team, Arroyo Grande, is riding a 9-game winning streak versus Nipomo. In fact, the Eagles have only lost to the Titans one time in program history back in 2008.
AG is 3-1 on the season and is coming off its biggest win of the year, a 24-10 road victory over Lompoc in Week 3.
The Eagles say this game will be another battle, but they’re only focused on playing AG football.
"It doesn’t matter who we played last week or who we’re playing this week, we take the same approach each and every week," Arroyo Grande head coach Mike Hartman said. "We enjoy our victory Friday night, then Saturday morning it’s back to work. That’s how we try to avoid the highs and lows of a season. We try to gradually build throughout the season."
"At AG, we’re just a whole different type of family," Arroyo Grande senior lineman Kai Banks added. "We play at a different type of level, we play hard, we play together. We’ll just keep rising up until we get to the next level."
Arroyo Grande and Nipomo will kickoff at Doug Hitchen Stadium in AG at 7 P.M. on Friday, September 13.
